This Privacy Policy explains how Firefly Media Group (“SetMeals,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the SetMeals service at setmeals.app, including our SMS text-messaging program. By using SetMeals, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to coordinate crew meals:
- Contact information — name and mobile phone number, provided by a production coordinator who adds you to a roster, or by you directly.
- Dietary information — allergies, dietary restrictions, and meal preferences, used to flag conflicts and keep crew safe.
- Order information — the meal selections you submit through your personal ordering link.
- Usage and device data — basic, privacy-preserving analytics about how our pages and messages perform (for example, whether a link was opened). We do not build advertising profiles.
How we use information
- To send you meal-call texts, ordering links, reminders, and confirmations.
- To consolidate orders and flag dietary conflicts for your production.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
- To comply with legal obligations, including messaging-compliance laws.
SMS / text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties or affiliates, and are not sold, rented, or used for marketing by anyone.
When you receive SetMeals texts, your phone number and consent are used solely to deliver meal-coordination messages for the production you belong to. Message frequency variesand is recurring based on your production’s schedule — typically one to four messages per crew member per shoot day. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP. Message and data rates may apply. See our Terms of Service for the full SMS program terms.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Your production.Coordinators on your production can see roster, dietary, and order information necessary to plan meals. Crew ordering links never expose other crew members’ personal data.
- Service providers. We use vetted vendors to operate SetMeals — an SMS carrier (Twilio) to deliver texts, a payment processor (Stripe) for Company-plan billing, cloud hosting and job scheduling (Vercel, Inngest), a database provider (Neon), rate-limiting infrastructure (Upstash), and email delivery (Resend). They process data only on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes. Payment card details are entered directly with Stripe and never touch our servers — we store only a customer reference and invoice records. As stated above, SMS opt-in data and consent are never shared for marketing.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below.
Your choices
- Opt out of texts — reply STOP to any SetMeals text.
- Access or delete — email us to access, correct, or delete your personal information.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and promptly address issues if they arise.
Children’s privacy
SetMeals is intended for use by working professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
